Many students that were the pioneers for the Genius Hour program seemed to like the genius hour projects much more than other school projects because it wasn’t assigned by the teacher. The kids had the option to learn about what interested them and act of something they were passionate about. Also, the teachers stressed in the article that the main take away should be that it is fine to fail. In the project, it is okay to take risks in order to accomplish something, even if it means failing. This will effect my genius hour project because I won’t be afraid to take some risks that I wouldn’t normally be comfortable with. Even if I fail in my endeavors, I will be able to learn from my mistakes and make changes to my future risks.
