We have talked to mr. myllyla about coming into one of his 7th grade P.E. classes to assist him. He said he is in the gym for Tuesdays and THursdays. So, we have to go get some video of us helping the kids to learn some sport fundamentals. THen we can add the video to our pages and make a ted talk.

First of all, we have to talk to Mr. Myllyla about coming into his class to teach. We plan to help out with his class to help teach the kids about the importance of good fundamental skills for sports. We will take some videos and pictures of us talking to the kids and teaching them how to do some specific skills and the importance of them. It will have impacted them because the kids would now understand the importance of being fundamentally sound for their sport.
Stem Students Create Winning Invention:
Some kids in high school made a wind powered generator. This is a really cool invention because it could provide power for lighting. The kids were motivated to make a difference. Student centered learning is the basis of this project because if the kids did not have a passion for clean energy, the project would never work. The time and effort that was put into this project is crazy, and without a passion for success it would never have been successful. With many kids that feel passionate about a project, they can come together to make great new things that will help the community and possible the world. Cloud explained that there are most likely a few contributing factors to producing genius. Many experts believe that genius must come from having good genetics, while others believe it must be affected by the environment that one grows up in. Cloud concludes that genius must be formed by a combination of both of these.
Mr. cowen obtained his 3d printer because he wanted to be able to 3d print some tools for disabled people and other parts that would otherwise be very expensive. He built his 3d printer at a conference for the state. I learned that to be make an effective presentation, having many visual aids is key. when many types of visuals such as, video, pictures, and slides are used it is more engaging. also, the order which he presented his information was very effective. He introduced what he did, how he started, and what it is going to be used for.The author interprets genius as more creative than just being intelligent. Most definitions of genius are that it just means to be very intelligent. The shared strategies of geniuses are that they force relationships and use their creativity to find relationships. I will try to use some of this information to be more creative.
Many students that were the pioneers for the Genius Hour program seemed to like the genius hour projects much more than other school projects because it wasn’t assigned by the teacher. The kids had the option to learn about what interested them and act of something they were passionate about. Also, the teachers stressed in the article that the main take away should be that it is fine to fail. In the project, it is okay to take risks in order to accomplish something, even if it means failing. This will effect my genius hour project because I won’t be afraid to take some risks that I wouldn’t normally be comfortable with. Even if I fail in my endeavors, I will be able to learn from my mistakes and make changes to my future risks.Within this month I hope to figure out how to properly write a letter to the city in order to fix the tennis courts at Ford Park. I will research this online or make phone calls to the city depending on how much I can figure out online. If signatures are required I could go door to door around the park and ask for support. By the end of November, I would like to have the letter or "petition" sent to the city, and by the end of the year do anything else required to make this fix happen.
